COMPETITORS
The early bird registration period runs from May 22 until July 12, 2026. Competitors and clubs can register for the tournament until September 3, 2026 via the official SportData registration system. We encourage all clubs and athletes to register early to secure their participation in this international event. All registrations and payments are processed via the SportData platform.
COMPETITION CATEGORIES & ENTRY FEES
Youth – A/B/C/D class
Competitors can participate in both sparring and pattern categories. The tournament format will follow a single elimination system. Winners will receive gold, silver and bronze medals. The early bird registration fee is €35.00.
Pre Junior / Junior / Senior – B/C/D class
Competitors can participate in both sparring and pattern categories. The tournament format will follow a single elimination system. Winners will receive gold, silver and bronze medals. The early bird registration fee is €35.00.
Pre Junior / Junior / Senior – A class
Competitors can participate in both sparring and pattern categories. Black belt divisions will compete in a league (round robin) format. Winners will receive gold, silver and bronze medals. The early bird registration fee is €45.00.

COMPETITORS
Competitors must be entered collectively through Sportdata (Black Belt League and Colour Belts events) and should be completed by the Head of Association, Lead Instructor or Delegate. If you're entering on your own, you need to write to the organising committee (contact@dragonopen.nl).
Your registration on SportData will only be confirmed once the payment has been successfully received.
Please note that all participants are required to bring a valid ID card. These ID cards must be provided directly by the respective schools. The organising committee does not issue or supply ID cards under any circumstances.
COACHES
All coaches must be entered via the Sportdata system as part of your official team delegation.
Please ensure that every coach is correctly registered before the registration deadline, as only accredited coaches included in the Sportdata system will receive access to the competition areas and coaching facilities during the tournament .
DECLARATION OF CONSENT and DATA PROTECTION
To ensure the safety and smooth organization of the championship, every competitor is required to complete and sign the Declaration of Consent and Data Protection.
This form confirms:
- that you are medically fit and properly insured to participate,
- that you accept the event’s liability and data protection terms,
- and, if applicable, that your parent or legal guardian has given consent.

UMPIRES
A professional and diverse team of umpires helps the maintain a fair, safe and high quality competition environment for all participants.
Dutch & Belgian clubs/schools
- Up to 5 competitors → 1 umpire
- Up to 10 competitors → 2 umpires
- Up to 15 competitors → 3 umpires (minimum of 1 center referee)
- Up to 20 competitors → 4 umpires (minimum of 2 center referees)
- More than 20 competitors → 5 umpires (minimum of 2 center referees)
Foreign clubs/schools
- Up to 5 competitors → 1 umpire
- Up to 10 competitors → 2 umpires
Delivering additional umpires is highly appreciated.

Dress code
Navy blue pants, white shirt, navy blue tie, white socks and white sneakers.
Minimum age
15 years
Requirement applies to
Participating clubs and schools from outside the Netherlands and Belgium.
Compensation missing umpire
€75.00 payable at the entrance.
Umpire registration
Black belt and colour belt umpires can register via the official SportData registration system.
